2026 FaceChess is a more expansive set than previous releases. It feature base cards of current stars, a "Who's Who" quiz subset of former chess greats and a distinctive  "Rising Star" subset of composite images of young and up and coming chess players. The cards are unnumbered all share the same back except for the Quiz cards which have a checklist back they all share. The set was created in 2021 and limited test sets were produced at that time but remained unreleased until now.
